Bobby Dee has been DJ'ing singing and song writing since 1986. He had his first opportunity with two Oxford based sound system "Sir Notch" and Street Level" and was then known as Bobby Boom.
In later years he co-wrote and co-produced an album with an Oxford funk soul band "Tones Of Life" which was released and distributed via "JETSTAR" in the early 90's and then went on to working with an improvisation band "PPPHUNK Psychedelic Punjab Phunk" which was featured as album of the month in Sound on Sound Magazine.
Since then he has opened up as a DJ for Omar, Shalamar, Martin Kemp, Del A Soul, Redman Method Man at various O2 Academy's and opened up for Kenny Thomas at the Funkin' Fundraiser for Christina recently and many more. He has been a DJ presenter on The Sunday Soul Sessions on OX4FM and Genius Radio Oxford and is now the resident DJ for the “Official Soul Train Club” nights and features on two radio shows, “The Soul Train Club” with Jessie T, Freddie Lee & Bobby Dee and his very own solo Saturday night show “Get On Up!” on Solar Radio
Bobby Dee also played at Cowley Road Carnival, Common People Festival and The Solar Records launch party in London and is part of the Soulfunkalicious club night.
He also DJs locally for The Oxford Soul Funk Club and played the Solar Radio Boat Party on the Thames.
Bobby plays soulful funky anthems, classics, Hip Hop, Soulful House as well as an eclectic array of genres all in the mix for the audiences listening pleasure.
